Instructor - Carol Puntel
This crescent shaped shawl begins with a double row of mitered squares and then uses short rows to create the body. In this class, you will learn how to make and connect mitered squares. You will see how the first square itself can be used as a gauge swatch. We will weave in stitches as we go. In the second class we will review how to pick up and knit stitches evenly while weaving in the remaining ends. We will then use the specific short row technique of this pattern to finish off the body.
Special Opportunity to customize your color combination for this project! Local yarn company The Whole Knit N'Caboodle will hand-dye beautiful colors for you to choose from to make the Breakwater. Talk to any of our staff members for further information.
This is the first of a 2-part class. The second class takes place on Monday, June 18th.
